About
Hay libros en la casa was conceived in 2020 as I walked around my house looking at my bookcases and wondering when the next time I'll get to be in a bookstore. "Hay libros en la casa" means "There are books at the house." Or as I hear it in my head, "You have books at the house, Veronica." This phrase came from growing up as a Mexican-American and hearing the phrase "Hay comida en la casa" or "There is food at home" many times.
Hay libros en la casa is part ode to my bookworm life and part ode to my Latina roots.
I hope you enjoy the design and phrase. As a bookworm, no amount of books will stop me from bringing another book home.
At the moment the store has stickers and pins. I have hopes for adding a tote bag to the mix.
Thank you for stopping by,
Veronica
