"Hay libros en la casa" is this bookworm's ode to a classic Latina mom saying "Hay comida en la casa," meaning "There's food at home.'' "Hay libros en la casa" simply means, "There are books at home."
The phrase popped in my head as I was staring at one of my many bookcases as I pondered buying a new book and missing hanging out at my local bookstore. The pandemic has sapped me of my ability to burn through books as evidenced by the cobwebs on my
Goodreads account.
So what to do? Make book swag. After a quick sketch & consulting with some friends the design was complete! Well... after a professional turned my sketch into a real design that went on limited edition t-shirts.
I am happy to present pins & stickers with "Hay libros en la casa."
Buy a pin to put on your jacket & wear your bookworm status with pride.
Buy a sticker to put on your notebook, laptop, or other officially sanctioned-sticker locations.
This is a human-run store, so please be patient as I get this up & running.
